March 16, 2020

As our nation faces a crisis of unknown proportion, Governor Sununu has shut down all restaurant dine-in options effective this evening through at least 7 April 2020. The Team at the Lodge, while disappointed and concerned for our co-workers, valued guests and vendors, understand the reasoning behind this unprecedented move and will remain closed until such time as we can assemble safely. While we have the option of take out and delivery service, this is not a workable solution for our business and we will not take part. Please stay safe and we hope to see you again sooner rather than later here at the Lodge...

Our Restaurant

The Lodge at Smith Point serves fresh, thoughtful dishes that are diverse enough to suit any taste. Owner Mark Poirier describes it as "Food with flair… It's taking favorites and (to quote Emeril Lagasse) kicking it up a notch."

We've created an experience that is comfortable, relaxing and has been described by customers as "feeling like you're home."

Located in Alton, New Hampshire, home of Alton Bay - the Southern-most part of Lake Winnipesaukee. The restaurant is housed in one of the Lakes Region's most iconic buildings: The William Tell Inn. Built in the 1920s this has been the site of several restaurants and reportedly housed a speakeasy in the basement during prohibition!

We invite you to try the fully-renovated Lodge at Smith Point — A gathering place for food, drink & conversation.
